Not too happy...
I know, I know, I probably shouldn't have posted this one... but she just looks so cute! It was a little too close to nap time to start taking pictures. But, I wanted Aunt Allison and Uncle Ben to see how cute their niece is in the jean jumper they gave her. She really does love it, even though she looks a little upset right now!

Nana's Visit
Nana came to visit for Christmas and Aubri's birth and we decided to keep her! She stayed an extra week to help us get our new family settled at home. We had so much fun making memories!

To God be the glory!
Well, as most of you know by know, Aubri Ruth was born Friday, January 2, at 4:47pm. Glory to God, the Giver of all good gifts! Wow.... this one has been especially good! Aubri, or "Sweet Bri" as I like to call her, weighed in at a whopping 8.6lbs and was 20.75 inches long. If I do say so myself, she is gorgeous (especially when she sleeps at night, ;)). Many of you are aware that Jen had to have a C-section. While in labor, she started running a fever and her blood pressure dropped to 60/40; thus, Aubri started to run a fever and her resting heart rate increased to 175-180bpm. Moreover, Aubri's movements started to decrease, which was another negative sign. Soon thereafter, the doctor came in and walked Jen and me through his analysis of the current situation. Basically, he suggested that we opt for a C-section, as it appeared that we were working within a window of opportunity to keep a healthy mom and baby that was lessening by the minute. The operation went well. We weren't in the room but a matter of minutes when I heard the doctor say, "She is stubborn" then a couple of seconds later, "Oh! She's bigger than I anticipated." Jen and I tried to tell him... Big babies run in the family, :). Anyway, when first born, Aubri had a 102 temp, but the nursery was able to immediately cool her down to a normal temperature. Thank the Lord, both Jen and Aubri are doing well and neither has had to take antibiotics or shown any signs of infection. Well, the story could go on and on, as it has much more detail, but I'll spare you the pages. However, let me conclude by saying how much I appreciate the gifts, kind words, and most importantly the prayers from our family and friends. Jen, Aubri, and I are indeed grateful to God for the blessing of wonderful family and friends. May the Lord bless you all.
Yes, we will be posting more pics soon.... :)
