Baby Dedication -March 15, 2009

Our church, Christ the Redeemer, had baby dedication Sunday, March 15. It was a special time as several parents (actually lots of parents...15 sets!) agreed before the church to raise their children in a christian home, in the ways of the Lord. The church agreed to keep the parents accountable and, also, committing to come alongside the parents in shepherding their children in the Lord.
We were glad that Nana and Ops were here to share in this very special time for our family! Thanks guys! We love you!

Spring Break '09!

This past weekend, Wes and I took Aubri on her first road trip! We went to see two of her great-grandma's in Arkansas. I was very impressed by our little traveler! She didn't even fuss!

After our fun weekend in Ashdown/Texarkana, we headed back to Texas with a few visitors- my mom, my sister (Ashley) and her girls (Esther and Millie), and my cousin (Amanda)! I don't know how Wes ever agreed to a house full of girls! Needless to say, we didn't see much of him this week.

After viewing my sister's recent post of her girls singing and dancing (view here). I was flooded with memories of my childhood. This is a song, that my sister and I would sing together. I remember us closing our eyes and singing our hearts out! HA! She later sang it in a summer camp talent show and WON! WOOHOO!

Aubri's learning how to hold her rattle! Once I put it in her hand she usually hangs on tight for quite a while! At the end of the video, she realizes she has something in her hand and looks at it! (It's these small achievements that can make a mother so proud! ha!)

Doctor and shots

Today started with a happy baby and a trip to see our pediatrician. I love going to see our doctor. I look forward to these visits each month! I love to see how big our little girl is getting. Today, at her 2 months check up, she measured 23 inches long and 10 lbs. Not quite off the charts but growing healthily nonetheless.
You should have seen her...she was so happy! She was talking to her doctor the whole time she was getting prodded. Until...the shots came out! I should have taken a before and after picture. Unfortunately I only have the after...5 shots after!

That's when our day took a turn for the worse! The doctor warned me that Aubri may be a act a little different today...and the fussiness begins.

After some needed loving, I decided it was time to change Aubri's diaper and put her in her crib for her morning nap.

In my defense, a fussy baby is hard to change. She tinkled all over her diaper changing table. So, I moved her to her crib to finish putting on her diaper...then, she poopied all over her crib. Hmmm.

I finally got her changed and calmed down enough to sleep (on a clean bed). Now, its my turn to nap...

Aubri's cousins came to visit!

We had a great time with the Beller's this past weekend! It is so much fun to see Esther and Millie interact with their new cousin! I wish I had taken more pictures of the weekend but I was busy being a "chatty patty" and catching up with Ashley!
