It was this time one year ago when we saw this...
After taking 3 tests that showed "the plus sign", Wes got a test that would spell it out for me...maybe then I would believe we were really pregnant!

9 months later...well, actually closer to 10, our little girl was born.

And now she is almost 4 months old!

As I think back over this past year, I am reminded of God's faithfulness.
He was our Stronghold during the months of negative pregnancy tests. He was our Healer when we discovered my hormone imbalance. He was our Joy as I tackled Wes when I saw my first "plus sign". He was our Trust when we couldn't get into see our ob/gyn for 13 weeks. He was our Peace as we rushed to the hospital to assess Aubri's movement. He was our Patience as we waited and waited and waited for her arrival. He was our Provider as He straightened out our insurance situation the day before her birth. He was our Hope as we were faced with the reality of a C-section. He was our Love as heard our little girl's first cry. He was our Rest as we faced sleepless nights. He is our Shepherd as we learn how to parent.
HE IS ALWAYS FAITHFUL!
"Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. 'The Lord is my portion' says my soul, Therefore I hope in Him." Lam. 3:22

Road Trip to Arkansas

Well, we made the trip! It only took us about 6 hours to get there! I was expecting it to be longer so I was pleasantly surprised! I had a very good traveler! Aubri slept the entire way to Arkansas and almost all the way back home! Yea!

Wes made it through the weekend as well! He got so much done but not a whole lot of sleep. We all crashed once we were back together!
Thank you all for your prayers!

Visiting the Grandparents!

Aubri and I are setting out to Arkansas. This is a new adventure for us; we have only taken one road trip before and we had dad (Wes) with us. This time, we are having to leave dad behind. He will have a few days of uninterrupted work to hopefully finish out his semester successfully! I know he is sad he can't come home to see our family. Pray that the Lord will grant him multiplied time and wise management of that time as he strives to complete the tasks set before him and also that the Lord will give him a divine peace as he will be away from his daughter for the first time.

Well, its been over a week since our last post and I am sure I have a few grandparents upset they haven't seen photos of their grandbaby so I thought I give them a little preview of what's to come this weekend... ENJOY!

P.S. There is nothing better than when your have been cooking for your family and your husband comes in the kitchen and says..."Mmmm! Smells Good!". Mix this with the fact I love sharing recipes and what do you have???...A RECIPE BLOG! I have set up a recipe blog so that I can share some recipes our family has enjoyed and hopefully try some new recipes from you! If you have a recipe that you would like to share feel free to add it as a comment on the recipe site and I will post it for you! You can access this new blog here or click on "Mmmm! Smells Good" on the blog list to the left.

Happy Resurrection Day!

We had a great Resurrection Sunday! We had some good quality time with our little family and church was a wonderful time to worship our RISEN SAVIOR!

"Brothers, children of Abraham, and you God-fearing Gentiles, it is to us this message of salvation has been sent. The people of Jerusalem and their rulers did not recognize Jesus, yet in condemning him they fulfilled the words of the prophets that are read every Sabbath. Though they found no proper ground for a death sentence, they asked Pilate to have him executed. When they had carried out all that was written about him, they took him down from the tree and laid him in a tomb. BUT God raised him from the dead!" Acts 13:26-30

I love this song! Enjoy!

After church we did something I think only this generation would probably do...we picked up fast food for Easter Sunday lunch! Mom, I am sure you are shaking your head and saying "I taught her better..."Ha! Yes, you did teach me better than that but, we were invited to spend lunch with our care group and for the sake of time and kids needing naps we HAD to pick up lunch. ha! It was a great time of love and laughs! While we were there, some of our bestest friends made a big announcement! They are having a baby! WOOHOO! We are so excited! Aubri will have a new playmate around November 13! Be praying for Karen and Jonathan and their little blessing!

When we got home we had a photo shoot of Aubri in her Easter garb. We also took a few photos of her with her mom and dad, but we decided the pictures of just her looked better!

Aubri got her first Easter basket on Saturday. She got a new spring dress, a teether, and some candy! Her dad was excited to see the candy. He knew that by the time she could eat it, it wouldn't be good anymore. So, he took care of it for her. ha!

This isn't an Easter picture. It's just one that I LOVE!

She's Losing it!!

...HER HAIR, that is. I read an article online that said hair loss is pretty normal for infants under 6 months. We tried an oil massage this morning to stimulate the hair follicles and hopefully cause some regrowth! She thought it was fun! (As you can see in the picture below!) She kept smiling and laughing at me! Wes was asking me last night if we should change shampoos or wash her hair less often...We are currently washing her hair every other day and using Johnson's Head to Toe.

Has this happened to your kids? Does anyone have any suggestions? Post your comments!

Letting the oil soak in!

Ashley and Amanda! LOOK!
Over spring break Ashley, Amanda and I were discussing baby pictures. This pose is a popular choice among mothers, so it seems. However, Aubri has always refused to hold her head up for a picture...until now! She is joining the club! Ha!

Super Saturday!

What a fun Saturday!
It all started when I flew out of bed at 8:15 once I realized our little one hadn't yet woken up for her early morning feeding! Yep! That's right, Bri slept through the night! She has slept through the night a handful of times but only one other time has she slept this long!
Once she was fed and I was ready for the day, I headed to a women's prayer breakfast at church. It was such a wonderful time of prayer and fellowship with some encouraging sisters in Christ.
When I got home, I was greeted by Wes, Bri, Papa T, Granny...umm, I mean, Gamma (ha!), Aunt Kaycee, and Aunt Callie! They hadn't seen Bri since she as 1 month old! They couldn't believe how much she had grown! After lunch, we had a day of shopping and then some yummy chicken at Babes! Shopping and fried chicken...what's not to love?! Here are some pictures of our fun day with our company!
