John Michael Carroll

Thank you all for diligently praying for the Carrolls as they awaited the arrival of their son.
The Lord is so faithful to hear our prayers!
He provided a safe delivery for both baby and momma;
both seem to be healing well.
Ben was an amazing leader as he encouraged his wife through a very painful labor.
They were blessed by the comfort of their own doctor being able to deliver.

John Michael Carroll
(named after his maternal great-grandfather, John, and his paternal grandfather, Jodie Michael, and his dad, Benjamin Michael) was born on Tuesday, February 16. He was
7 lb 12 oz and 21 inches long.

PLEASE PRAY!

I just got "THE" call! My brother and Allison are at the hospital with contractions 5 minutes apart!

Please pray for a safe delivery for Allison and Baby C,
Ben's leadership,
the Lord's calming peace,
wisdom for their dr,
and most of all, that the Lord would call Baby C to Himself at an early age,
so that he may grow to love the Lord and live for Him!

I am sure they will be anxious to post pictures of their sweet blessing. Click here to see their blog!

SNOWY DAYS!

What a beautiful, peaceful, restful (well...maybe not restful), fun gift the Lord gave us! We are enjoying a 4 day weekend due to the record breaking 10-12 inches (depending on who you ask) of snow Fort Worth, TEXAS received on Thursday!

Our WINTER WONDERLAND! Isn't God amazing?!?!

We had friends over on Thursday night since we got wind that the seminary was going to be closed on Friday, too. We almost had to have a slumber party due to all the snow buildup and the limb that fell and blocked our driveway. Have no fear, our handy husbands came to the rescue and cut up the limb so that our friends could carefully drive home.

Maegan, Jenny McWilliams, me, and Karen.
I wish this picture showed Jenny's shoes---she had on flip flops!...Hawaiians....

I tried to measure the snow fall on Friday morning. However, the only ruler I had was my handy dandy 8 inch Beall Barclay and Company ruler. It was covered by snow.
(side note- this is the middle of tax season for my dad and all the other employees at Beall Barclay. Please say a prayer for them as they are facing long hours with little sleep.)

We spent most of our days lounging in our pj's in the warmth of our home. Bri is showing off her "new" jammies that her cousins passed down! Thanks Millie and Esther!

Bundled up to play in the snow!

Aubri would much rather be held than touch the snow. She must be a Guatemalan at heart. ha!

This is our snowman! Isn't he handsome. The naming of the snowman went something like this:
Wesley: "Aubri what do you want to name the snowman?"
Aubri: "Ya!"
Wesley: "Do you want his name to be Ya?"
Aubri: "Ya!"
Wesley: "Ok, our snowman's name is Ya. Do you like Ya?"
Aubri: "Ya!"
Wesley: "How much?"
Aubri: "Ya, ya, ya!"

Got to love new "words"!

My name is Jenny and I am a Settlers of Catanaholic.
This is my new favorite game! Thankfully, all of our friends LOVE it too! We stay up way too late to fit in as many games as we can! After probably a dozen games, poor James had yet to win...until now! Here he is looking so proud! Way to go James!

We made some snow ice cream! It was...decent. A very fun memory!

Doesn't it look yummy? It was pretty good covered in chocolate syrup.

Family Camp-Out

Yesterday, Bri started running a fever. It continued to climb all day and her little runny nose quickly became a snotty mess! She was having a terrible time breathing through her nose and was very frustrated. She fell asleep in her crib at bedtime but an hour later she woke up crying. Bless her heart.

She seemed to be able to breath so much better when she was elevated, so we decided to have our first family camp-out in the living room. Bri and I slept in the recliner and Wes was on the couch. Let's just say, at least Bri slept well. She woke up still sick, but so happy.

Beautiful Baby

So, Live's Regis and Kelly are having a Beautiful Baby Contest. The winner gets a $125,000 college scholarship! Of course Aubri's biased momma thought "what easy way to snatch up a scholarship for Bri!". So, I asked for Wes's support and once he agreed, I got all of the paper work filled out and all we had left to do was agree on Aubri's best picture! Unfortunately, we would be disqualified if we used one of the Beaty pictures, because those are hands-down our favorite.

A week later, Wes and I still can't decide. Thankfully, I notice that the deadline has been pushed back...or so, I thought.

Looks like I got a little confused, and we missed the deadline. Sorry, Bri. Maybe next year.

Here is my pick!

I love that you can see her personality in this one!!
